I have through the Nurses Service Organization. It's $20 a year for students. I believe you can sign up on their website at http://www.nso.com.

Oh, and by the way...WELCOME! :)

Hello,

Our insurance was offered by the school. It was $15. Welcome to the boards! :D

At my school, the is included in the tuition. You have to have it.....there is no other option.

Specializes in critical care; community health; psych.

Our was 12 dollars and was included in the tuition.

Specializes in Emergency & Trauma/Adult ICU.

I agree, students shouldn't be without - the trend in malpractice suits is to name EVERYONE who came within 50 feet of the patient.

I also got my coverage from NSO.

Those of you who posted that it was included in your tuition - I'm curious - is this individual coverage specifically for you, or for the group of students? Of course you're also named in the school's policy(ies) - they couldn't let you into the clinical area without doing so - they're also responsible for your actions.

Just curious ...
