I heard its easier to get hired as a cna if you are a male.

Why? and is it true?

thx!

Im just adding in, that Im sure its easier to be hired as a male. Ive been applying for about 2 months now and I just got hired at a hospital which is known to rarely hire people unless you were once affiliated when them in one way shape or form. However, on the other hand, I do think I have a great interview them with.

Ive known females who have been applying for years and they just got hired. However, on the other hand, Ive had a few male friends who have been applying for a year and they too just got hired so who knows.

Secretly my DON told me she hired me quicker because I was male.

Muscle strength baby...pure and simple...muscles! us gals could use a strong set of arms every now and again! I enjoyed working with male cnas, they would always help with the heavy work as long as we helped them with the easy work, you lift, me shower...you lift...me make bed..you lift and turn...me change and wipe you flip...Muscle..Muscle..Muscle! Plus Male cna's usually get all the horney male patients...saves us gals some problems and added work! :)
