Hey there! Is anyone here applying for Malcolm X ADN (nursing) program for Spring 2021? I am a bit nervous. My GPA is 3.0 and I am taking the TEAS soon and hopefully scoring >90 overall. How likely is it to get admitted? Has anyone been admitted with lower stats before? Thanks!
Hey everyone- I've been reading your posts about how nervous you are about getting accepted to Malcolm X or any of the nursing programs.
I just wanted to say that if you don't get accepted at one school- then go for another. Don't give up and realize that it is not the end of the world if you don't get accepted right away. I have been right there in your shoes and I know how frustrating it can be to want to get accepted right away and then get turned away. Don't give up! You've made it this far and you will succeed and become excellent RN's!
Good luck and keep safe out there!

This is a kind and uplifting post. Thank you.
Being realistic, I certainly have been thoroughly researching alternative plans. What I find are very few options (and none attractive for me) for ADN possibilities. Do you have any suggestions?

Same for me, I am completing the rest of my pre reqs for BSN but I really don't want to go that route FIRST due to the price! Oakton is the only other ADN program I know but id have to take the HESI.

Morton has one too but I hear it’s more competitive than CCC and it also requires the HESI. They work on a point system for admission.
