Have you applied? Have you heard anything? Do you have some helpful information to share?
"We received your background check directly from Castle Branch. The Nursing Admissions Committee will meet soon to review your file, and will be in touch with you via email with their decision."
So I received that today.... only because I had emailed them last week... but I still haven't been heard back :/
Like I know they're being vague with when... using the word "soon" though was misleading! Lol
So I called the nursing department again!
The lady I spoke with told me this week they didn't really send out letters because their main focus was the guaduating class. She said we should definitely hear something the latest this coming Wednesday and that as of what she knows if you pass your teas and background check you should be fine! Also she hasn't seen any denial letters!
She also told me the email will ask if we accept our seat and we have to accept it if not they will go to the next student.
She told me about the classroom hours I was kinda confused it seem like they were set hours I thought we got to chose our class from the section Nursing 101 does anyone know?
Well that's good to finally hear some details! I hope they do send something soon.
When I went to the information session, Sylvia Arnold said you have to chose either day or night cohort when you accept the offer. So your classes and clinicals will be based on that for the two years of the program.

Hi! I popped in to read comments because I remember how frustrating it was not knowing anything and yes, Malcolm X is still not totally organized with this process. I can try to offer some insight on what went wrong for me....
*Get clarity on when you should do the drug test because your clinical sight may want it within 30 days before you start. If you get it earlier you will have to get another.
*When you get your drug test make sure the doctor orders all 9, show them the list. I requested a nine panel drug screening, but two of the required drugs are not part of a nine panel screening.
*Do hand deliver everything, they lose mail.
*Do copy everything you submit for entrance: drug screening, vaccinations, everything.....especially the flu shot, it may be requested more than once in the year.
*Sometimes I purchased a previous version of the textbooks to save money and it worked well. I learned to purchase books after classes started because the first semesters books were $600+. And we didn't use them all. Also, shop amazon for books...
