Have you applied? Have you heard anything? Do you have some helpful information to share?

Not sure. I'm thinking *maybe* I haven't heard anything, because I'm finishing one of the prereqs and maybe they're waiting on my final grade?

I got super frustrated and emailed the nursing school dean and both associate deans. Let's see if they send some kind of answer...

I did get a request to complete my 10-panel drug screen and the background check a couple weeks ago, and I did both. Then when I went to turn it in they were like, you're not supposed to do it until *after* your acceptance. I was like, but I got an email from you saying to complete it within one week, so I did it. So yeah, you'd think that was part of your acceptance, but I guess not.

...did any of you guys have to do the drug screen or the background check?

They just don't seem very organized to me and yeah, obviously it is very frustrating on everyone. I'm sure they don't like being flooded with emails or questions from some of us regarding when to expect acceptance letters (but that's their fault for not being more organized!).

...and yeah if they go alphabetically, then I'm dead last (which sucks lol).

They only requested a background check for me not a drug test.

Does anyone know if professors are allowed to add more students if their class is full?

My other college professors were allowed but I'm not sure if at Malcolm they can.

I did the background check, because they said it was part of the application. I'm pretty sure the drug test is supposed to be done after you get accepted.

I'm sure they don't enjoy the barrage of emails, but leaving us in the dark about literally every aspect of the application process hasn't been much fun either.

I did do the background check because they requested it. And same they asked me why did I do it if it's only done when admitted. I told them I had received the email indicating I had 14 days to do it. Hopefully we hear from them soon...like today..

I heard back from the dean of nursing. He said the committee is meeting again today and to "expect an email this week regarding your admission status"

I'm just sitting here, waiting for an email...would be sooooo nice to hear a bit of good news during such a stressful week of finals!

Same here... I would call but I'm pretty sure they already hate me for all the emails I've sent recently haha.
