Hello everyone! I wanted to start this thread for those of us applying to the Malcolm X College ADN Program for Spring 2026. This can be a place where we share updates on applications and requirements, ask questions, exchange information, and support each other along the way. I'm really looking forward to connecting with you all and going through this journey together. 🌷

I found out I was accepted into the Spring Nursing program. Does anyone know how we register for the first classes or if someone is supposed to reach out to us about enrolling? I was offered a seat this Friday on the 12th. I don't know what's next or how to go about anything, is someone able to help me? Thank you!!
You must accept the offer asap. The next thing is to contact your advisor to enable you register. All classes are closed now, keep monitoring. Congratulation and welcome on board.

So there is no signing up yet? I emailed advisors but no response, assuming because it's Winter break. I really hope I don't miss signing up for classes. First semester is only one class, right?

I have not! I emailed them and they emailed me saying "a formal letter will be forthcoming with all details to move forward with your acceptance and next steps" this was yesterday. I hope it's soon.

I hope so too I'm worried about signing up for classes and what the schedule will look like. I believe we're meant to start class on the 12th or 13th of January. Feels so close I just want to have all of it ready before they close the schools for Winter break and it becomes harder to contact them 😭
I honestly find the entire experience at MXC extemely frustrating, confusing, and, frankly, dehumanizing. They refuse to communicate the most basic things to students who are doing everything they can to jump through all the hoops, the process feels haphazard, the instructions are often contradictory, incomplete, or just wrong, and the department doesn't seem to care about how inefficient this all is.
The fact that multiple people have to constantly, indvidually, poke and prod these people just to get literally any useful information or clarity really boils my blood.
I absolutely agree. My experience has been unpleasant from the very beginning. The lack of communication and organization is extremely frustrating, and it often feels like students are an afterthought. Everything seems to operate on their timeline, with little consideration for the stress and confusion this causes to us. At times, I genuinely wish I had applied elsewhere, because the way students are treated comes across as if we should be grateful for basic information or support. Overall, the lack of professionalism has been very disappointing.
