Hello! 
I wanted to create this group for those who are planning on applying for the MX nursing program. Just curious on people's thoughts on applying to the RN program

I believe the application cycle begins August 24th. Would love to get in contact with other applicants! Have you taken the TEAS already? Do you still have a prereq to complete? Lets all chat!

Just wanted to update that my application was changed to viable candidate. They must be really busy because I never heard back from anyone, it was just changed so they are still staying on top of applications. Good luck to everyone as we approach the deadline!

Hi Sammi, 

Mine says the same. I've submitted everything and have been reaching out to all of the emails and they keep telling me to email each other LOL. I sent one last one today to try and see if they'd change it to viable but got no response today or Friday. So I figured I'll just wait since I did my part. Fingers crossed.

After emailing literally everyone I never received a response. But I kept calling and calling even then, I barely got a call back. Though somehow last week it was changed to "viable candidate." The process seems a little flawed because apparently just because castle branch accepts your documents, the people reviewing the documents can still deny you if they don't deem the document acceptable. Make sure everything you submitted was stamped, signed, etc when it asked.  

I have heard Malcolm X has a great nursing program, but I think there needs to be more people on staff you can contact for questions. 

I would suggest trying to call because maybe you will get a quicker response? Also, everything is due at 11:59pm today so there's a good chance they are working hard to go through the applications today. I hope it all works out for both of you!

I did my background check through Castle branch. It came back a while ago and it's just been sitting there as well as my medical documents. Did you send it anywhere else? Did you have to "allow access" or anything like that? Or did you email them the results?

I was in the exact situation with everything just sitting there, but I didn't have to take any other action but contacting them to review/approve the documents. The code we signed up with for the packages automatically provides them access.

Okay cool, that's what I was thinking but I'm like let me just make sure. I 10000 percent agree with you. Even going into the nursing office things weren't clear to me but I didn't want to frustrate anyone so I just let it be. I think the staff and the process should be easier to navigate. My advisor didn't even tell me to apply early to get that packet that would explain a lot. Some schools want you to submit medical records etc after you get in. I realized last minute what I needed to do. Anyway, hopefully everything works out for all of us 🙂

I applied to both the ADN and PC nursing program. My first choice is the ADN. Does anyone know if I receive an offer for the PC program and accept it, does that make me ineligible to receive an offer for the ADN or would they still send me an offer if they decide to?
