Members are discussing issues with enrolling in specific nursing courses, particularly N151, due to seats being closed and unavailable for registration. Some members are experiencing frustration with the enrollment process, while others are speculating about additional class options being added in the future. There is also confusion about the registration process and whether permission codes are required for enrollment.
Hi everyone!
I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?
If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.
Let's use this thread to support each other and share insights as we work through the application process. I'm excited to hear from everyone and hope we can all navigate this journey together. Good luck to all future nurses applying for Fall 2025!

Are yall getting the physical copy or the digital rental?
Also I was checking my class schedule and my clinical day isn't showing up anymore, is this just a glitch on my end or is it happening to anyone else? 😮Â

Honestly? I haven't decided. I believe it's  four physical books and I'm taking public transportation. I may have to look at a video or picture to gauge how big the books are. I don't know if my back can take all of them.Â

My clinical day also isn't showing up on my end. I checked the other class schedule and some classes had the clinical days removed while some still has theirs

I chose the physical books where there was the option. That way I can review a little before class starts. There's like 5Â text books which gives me anxiety. I'm also taking an Anthro 202 class in Fall. I didn't see the clinical day on the schedule either but I think it's a glitch. There was a financial glitch recently too. I had multiple charges and credits added last weekÂ

It took almost a month for my order to get here. I never got any email with a tracking # and my order status never updated to say it had been shipped. One day my order just appeared LOL.Â
I recently ordered a bigger size in the scrub pants (I feel like they run a little small but I think it's just the fit because even the bigger sizes didn't make a difference .-.) but since those didn't require embroidery I got them within a week.Â

I ordered mines on May 22nd and received the order on June 14. I will say that I'm about 5 ft and ordered a medium and the pants are at my feet. I feel like if you're taller than 5'3 they may be too short on you.Â

Omgg! Hope they come in time for me.  How do the tops run?Â

For those of you who ordered already did you order direct from the bookstore or the suite styles website?
Hi everyone! For those starting this upcoming semester — is orientation in person or online? Is it mandatory? Also, how long after receiving the acceptance letter does orientation usually take place I'm planning to travel out of the country for a bit, but I'm a little worried I might miss Spring 2026 orientation if I get accepted. Any insight would be really appreciated!

I got my acceptance letter in late May, and the seminar, handbook review and wellness workshops aren't until early August (they are split into two days - both requiring mandatory in-person attendance).Â
Wishing you the best of luck in your journey and safe travels 🙂Â
