Malcolm X -City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing- Spring 2023

Anyone applying for Malcolm X College for Spring 2023? Figured I'd start a discussion. I applied to the RN program and am waiting for them to update my cumulative GPA, background check, and medical document submission.

Weird, I was able to register with no issue. I picked a class that had labs and lecture available and was able to schedule with no issue.

Yes I was able to finally register for class! I had to zoom the registrar to code me into the right program. They did it quickly !

Did everyone get their uniforms? I ordered mine on the 30th so I'm hoping they will be shipped this week.

I'm waiting on my shirts from the bookstore, ordered Wednesday and they said they shipped Friday. I got admitted last week and Medline had like a 6 week wait! I ordered pants through the regular Medline website instead of the school one and they came in 2 days.

I went and picked up two uniforms from the Chicago uniform store they have the patches available as well. I didn't get a lab coat; I'm going to wait until my order comes in the mail.

Do you guys know which book to get for Nursing 101? I was moved up to ADN just couple days ago and I didn't get a letter or anything after accepting.

hello! 
I read that you had to write a concession letter. When you turned in your letter was the admissions cumulative GPS changed to complete or was it left as incomplete? Mine says Incomplete and I haven't been changed to viable candidate. Hopefully you can help me! Thank you

Hey, I also had to write a concession letter. It eventually changed to "waived" under GPA and then Viable Candidate overall.

Thank you! I ended up sending an email about my GPA checklist being waived and was told I didn't need to worry about it. It's a little confusing, but I hope I'll be a viable candidate soon.
