2009 Magnet Conference

I am going to be attending the conference in Louisville, KY and was wondering if anyone else is going. What is it like for those who have attended in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to meeting those who will be attending

Not going to the conference, but I am from Louisville, it's a great town. What hotel are you staying at?

springhill suites. I believe it is near the KICC downtown. It looks very nice. I am really looking forward to going!

I have gone in past years and it is a wonderful experience. It is really rejuvenating to be around all those nurses who really care about nusing excellence. Usually one night they have a nice dinner type event. Two years ago it was at the Aquarium in Atlanta which was open only for Magnet attendees. Lots of vendors, college recruiters for advance degrees, get lots of freebies. Great time looking at other instituions research projects. If you get a chance to go I would do it.

Well, Waterfront Park is very nice, there's also 4th Street Live with lots of fun clubs and restaurants. Lots of upscale restaurants also... there's the Ali Museum, the Louisville Slugger museum, the Belle of Louisville, the Louisville Science Center... if you have time, those are some good sights to see. =) I love my hometown. =)
