Let's share our experiences !!! I just wanted to start a page for those who are getting ready for Macomb Nursing program 2014.
I actually applied this year(2013) for the first time. Unfortunately I was't accepted, but I am hoping to be accepted next year! I want to share my experiences, and meet people who are also applying.
I have completed all the prerequisites, and I plan to retake the Hesi test sometime this year.
Welcome!
:)
This time of year is crazy for anyone applying! I can't believe you all have 28 pages already. Just an FYI (as I'm in the program right now) when you receive your ranking will begin letter take that date and add 2 days to it. For instance our letter last year said "We will begin ranking on Monday, April 22." I received my acceptance letter Wednesday, April 24 (post marked April 23). Good luck to you all!
also registered to take a n p this summer again just incase I don't get in I took it last summer in 6weeks got a b+ but I was also battling my epilepsy and ended up missing a whole lab exam while in the hospital and once the labs are down there is no way to remake it g.p.a only 3.47 and 82 hesi ... so hope some miracle happens lol
I have a total GPA of around 3.85. My HESI was 92. I have an A in Micro, an A in A&P, and a B in the intro to nursing class. I tried for an A in the intro to nursing but the tests questions were very confusing and my teacher even had to give people points at times because her tests contradicting themselves. That class is so short and was so difficult for me to do well in. I have a B+ in the composition, because it was an honors class taken at a university and transferred. I'm really hoping I'll get it. I'm nervous, with the transfer english class at a B+ (it would have been an A at MCC, but honors english at WSU was much more difficult than an MCC composition would have been) and with the B in intro to nursing. I'm really crossing my fingers. Good luck everybody

If you are planning on transferring to another school for BSN i would check and see if they prefer you to have Ethics or Comparative Religions because each college wants something different. State is ok with either I think. Where as Eastern I think they want ethics philosophy.
