Macomb Community College Nursing 2014

U.S.A. Michigan

Let's share our experiences !!! I just wanted to start a page for those who are getting ready for Macomb Nursing program 2014.

I actually applied this year(2013) for the first time. Unfortunately I was't accepted, but I am hoping to be accepted next year! I want to share my experiences, and meet people who are also applying.

I have completed all the prerequisites, and I plan to retake the Hesi test sometime this year.

Welcome!

:)

I didn't think that you could take that class online.

Over this coming Summer they offer it online, I'd prefer to take it in a classroom but I need to take an evening class, but they cancelled all of them.

@lonnie...

I wouldn't see a problem with taking it online. I guess no matter what your going to be the guinea pigs and if it went wrong you would have to retake it. I have taken 4 online classes and have only gotten a B+ as my lowest grade the rest As. I think it will honestly be easier because the class was manily vocab, dates, facts and the tests will obviously be open note. If you don't like it you can always drop.

wow!! I literally get so anxious whenever I think about it. April 24th will be here so quick! I can't believe how fast April came. My GPA was I'm pretty sure a 3.35? its Bad D: and an 86 HESI. I took english 3 years ago at a different college and for some reason had it in my head that I had a B+ in it but, then by the time I found out it was a B- it was too late to re-take. That really killed my GPA. I got an A in Anatomy and a B+ in Microbio so atleast I won't have to retake those if I don't get in. Also in intro to nursing I got a B-. Seriously that class and english just killed my GPA which is a totallll bummer :'( Does anyone know how many people total they accept into the program? Hope we all make it xoxoxx

I believe they accept 160 (40 for each start date).

Thank you so much for sharing! I've been anxiously checking the mail every day.

I'm not applying until 2015 but just thought I'd share my experiences. I had to retake Intro to Nursing and Im now retaking Anatomy. Frankly, I think Anatomy has to be the hardest class I have ever taken and I feel if you can pass that class then you most certainly can pass anything! Lol. I haven't taken the Hesi yet but Im going to start studying for it once this Winter semester is over. Does anyone know when you have to have the Ethics class done by or the Comperative religion class done by? That's the only class I need to take.

Good luck everyone! I know I've worked really hard for this...juggling work, school, and 6 kids is no easy task! We all are just sitting ducks for lil while longer :)

I took it on campus and online....i liked online better!!

I decided to take both the Psyc and Ethics online courses while I waited to find out. I know they're a part of the curriculum, so you will have to take them before you finish the program.

But the sooner you take those classes the better it will be for you :)

I took those online as well but as for the nursing intro, i preferred online over campus.
