Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?

Let me know!

@Mrs.Pebbles. I'm Beaumont Grosse Pointe too!

That is awesome...can't wait to meet you! And congrats on getting bumped up :)

@m.obd.90 I look forward to meeting you too in our many classes together. :)

I'll be doing my clinicals at St. John main

I just got my letter yesterday...August!

Congratulations everyone on getting accepted! I started the program last October and love it so far. My advice would be to enjoy the rest of the summer. Soon, you will be immersed in studying and clinicals, and be counting down the weeks until the next break. You will love the program, especially once clinicals start. Good luck!

It is so nice to hear people that are enjoying the program! I am so excited to start!

have any of you been seriously considering the MSU BSN program? i've made phone calls, have the applications, know the tuition prices, and have 2 classes remaining for the MSU prereqs. but, now, i'm not sure if i want to start right away. would like to get some feedback or opinions from others who are thinking about this program.

I went and talked to a counselor about the program. I considered it for about 2 minutes until I learned more about it. It starts immediately, but the classes are ON CAMPUS. So you have to drive to MSU. And you have to get accepted into the program. I am not planning on doing the transfer to OU. With OU you can take a ton of classes ONLINE or at macomb that transfer for your bachelors to OU. Then when you finish the nursing program at macomb all of the classes at OU can also be taken online.

thanks for your reply. i think i'm confused now. i spoke with the MSU nursing admissions office, at the advice of MCC nursing school, and my understanding is that the agreement between MCC and MSU for the RN to BSN program are all online courses. i do believe there is a clinical component for some of the classes, but that can be done locally. it is a part-time program designed to accommodate work and family commitments. i have the links to the MSU sites that specifically address this option if you're interested in looking at it in more detail. but, i'm honestly feeling a little overwhelmed :)

That's how I took it too but my counselor advised me not too do it unless I was willing to drive out there for the classes. I can't remember exactly how many times I would have to drive out there but it was enough that I was not willing!

So where are our physical forms darnit. I'm sick of waiting for mail.
