Macomb Community College Nursing 2013

Published

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?

Let me know!

Specializes in None.
I should fall somewhere between 50 and 55 based solely on my scores.

So I finally went and received my ranking, and I ranked 25.

GPA - 3.8452

HESI - 93

Composite - 94.565

I have every single class that I can take outside of the program done, PHED, Ethics, Psychology, and Nutrition.

While we're breaking done the ranking even further into things that POSSIBLY affect ranking, I'll also add that I withdrew from Intro to Nursing within the allotted time frame and retook it.

So, for future generations of Macomb Nursing School hopefuls reading this past 2013, I would assume this means having the prereqs done boosts your ranking.

3.84/92 I ranked #37, I have completed everything except Philosophy.

4.0/93 and I tied for #10. I also have completed everything but Philosophy.

@rbrandnew we have the exact same scores but I ranked 42... I have everything done as well.... weird. Congratz though!! One person got August but is starting in January, so if these last few posts are correct I should be considered 41 now!

Just wanted to let all you alternates know that a lot of alternates got in for my class 2012 applicants. I just started the program in March. I know of at least 6 people who were alternates and I think they went pretty far down the list because one my classmates was called 2 weeks before the March semester started. So definitely go to alternate orientation! The program is great and worth the wait! Congrats to everyone who got in. And alternates most likely will be March starts.

LindzKay, I noticed that myself and wondered how ties are ranked. I meant to asked when I picked up my ranking, but when I saw 37 I completely forgot. I suspect that of the 335 applicants we are not the only ones with the exact same scores. I may be wrong, but I would think that our 5 point difference means, that there are at least 5 of us with the exact same score. Now, if they use the last 4 #'s of our s.s.#, I have low numbers, so that may have been the tie breaker. I bet they will let us know during orientation.

Do you happen to know what number your classmate was that got the late call?

I was an alternate last year and the last alternate they took was #174.

Thanks for the info... I can't wait to see if anyone decides to go with a different program and doesn't pay the 100 tomorrow! I've got my fingers crossed that I get a spot!

What # alternate are you??

are you sure it was 174?? I heard it was many more than that(more than 20 alternates) and there was someone who was 179 who just started with a friend of mine....just curious

Does anyone know if there were any people who did not accept their spot or that did not pay the deposit? I am dying to know! I just hope they don't keep us waiting until the meeting to find out!
