Macomb Community College Nursing 2013

Published

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?

Let me know!

I have, I think they're just trying to promote all the new programs they've started with these Universities. It's actually a really good idea, if I get into the program I'm most likely going to do it plus you pay Macomb's tuition pricing for the courses instead of the Universities, which is WAY cheaper!

Thanks so much for responding! :)

macomb hasn't sent me anything about that either.

I got both of those emails as well but I don't think they have anything to do with getting in the program. Just a feel more days everyone!!!

Has anyone had any luck with loans? Every bank I go to doesn't accept Macomb Community College. I feel like it shouldn't be this hard to get a loan...? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Have you already taken loans through school like federal loans ? I can't take any more for nursing because macomb won't let you take above a certain amount but if you haven't taken any yet you may be able to go to the financial aid office for it. Or try chase I think they gave me a loan for school but I don't think it was for macomb. Also if you have a credit union sometimes they are more open to helping you....

I've paid cash for school up to this point. I've never taken out a loan before. Most banks I checked wouldn't accept macomb for some reason? The one I did find that did required a Cosigner, which isn't an option for me. Through macomb the most you can get is 3,500, which would be helpful, but I was hoping to take out more to help with rent/bills so I could work less.

Oh yeah, Macomb won't let you take any extra... maybe you could try to take one through Macomb for school cost and a personal one for the rest. I mean some banks will just give you a personal loan for home improvements or whatever you want really so if you can't get one specifically for macomb maybe you could look in to other loans they offer. I also wonder if some of the loan holders would let you take a personal school loan like nelnet or great lakes. Maybe there is a way around going through the school its worth a shot and if they can't help maybe they would know a bank that could.

I couldn't get a loan without a consigned either. I had to stash my tax money :(

Also do the OASIS thing for scholarships

Ive only taken loans from financial aid. I didnt know macomb gave loans!! Il have to look into it. Ive always paid out of pocket until my last 2 semesters. Only 3 days and we should know ahhhh!!!

I know! I can't even contain my excitement. I've been working extra hours to keep my mind off everything and to make time go by faster.
