Macomb Community College Nursing 2013

U.S.A. Michigan

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?

Let me know!

Who told you that 600 people applied?

Has anyone else heard where the 600 number came from? Has me freaking out now! This wait is really getting the best of me haha.

I went up to Macomb yesterday and talked with the lady who is in charge of the HESI test. She said that around 500 took the HESI but that's all she knows. That doesn't mean all people applied. You have to turn in your application and have your 4 main classes done. Some people take the HESI for practice or just to see what it's about. I did last year knowing I wasn't going to get in but I wanted the experience. So until everyone is completely ranked we won't know because it's all material information. Who knows 250 students of those 500 may not even apply. I hope this helps you guys to realize how it really works. The test doesn't speak for everyone applied to the program. She also said we should receive a letter early April. Last year I got mine and it showed my ranking which will allow you to see if you're in because they only take around 140 students. Then they rank the waitlist. The time is almost here I have high hopes, good luck everyone!!!!

600!!!! I was told that last year 1500 applied and was told THAT was low by my counselor. If only 600 applied we should all feel lucky! I am so ready for this waiting to be over. I have also been reading that some people are expecting their acceptance letter in the mail in April, when in fact it will be May. 3 months after the February 15th application deadline. NOT 3 months after the HESI tests were due.

If someone gets their ranking letter please post!!! I don't live with my parents and my mail still goes there! Obviously, I am obsessing over this, as I am sure you all are too.

This describes how I am feeling perfectly. Never thought I would be anticipating August as much as I am now.

Last year only 244 applied so if it's 600 this year it's double which makes me nervous. Does anyone know how many people took the HESI last year?

Acceptance letters in the past have been out by the end of April. Last year they were out by the 21.

I want to say 600-800.

Yes please post as you get your letters! My mail still goes to my parents' house as well!

So sorry it took me forever to respond guys!! It's so hard trying to find this thread.

I've been crazy ever since last year and have been trying to follow how many people applied. I spoke (second hand) with the actual person doing the acceptance and "they" said 600 applied for the Nursing 2013 program but that doesn't mean 600 will get ranked (like if someone lets say is missing a class or HESI etc)

I'm seriously either calling or going to the enrollment office every other day to the point where the women behind the desk now gives me an attitude. Lol! Oh well! I'm excited and I guess have not learned patience yet. Apparently, there are only TWO people who go through ALL of the applications for ALL of the programs (believe it or not!) I thought this was kind of ridiculous. But I have no say! Plus they kind of hinted to me that they have to keep giving me the "well we aren't exactly sure..." or "sometime this month..." because if they spoil it I could come back and argue that I was told they would be out now.
