Hi all! I noticed that we don't yet have a forum for prospective nursing students for Macomb Community College's 2021 application season. Hopefully this can be a place for all of us to talk about the program, provide study / testing tips, and get to know each other virtually before the program begins.

Thanks so much. I passed with a 72%!! I’m on cloud 9...... I have to stop doubting myself. I will suggest everyone to start sooner than I did. 1 month wasn’t easy but I did it!
Thank you! I’ll look into Schoolcraft College !

Nevermind I figured it out I forgot the score was rounded up and not all the questions on the test were counted towards your score.

Just submitted my application! Freaking out slightly. I am secretly hoping less people are applying now that Covid happened/is happening. Wishful thinking haha.
I've heard a rumor from a good source that there are indeed far fewer students applying this year. Again, just a rumor so take with a grain of salt.
The waiting is the WORST. I'm reasonably certain my scores are high enough to get in, but these next 3-4 months are going to be rough.

Hoping that rumor is true to increase our chances ??

I have heard that rumor too! Based off how many people were in my A&P class, I could make an assumption less people are applying. But that doesn't really say too much. I talked with an advisor over the Summer and he said the bottom 5 of 2019 had a 3.5 GPA. Which I am thankfully above, but the TEAS test is what scares me. I did decent but they didn't have numbers to go off of since its a newer test.
Best of luck to you! The waiting for sure is going to be difficult!!

I think that was the most nerve-racking thing about this application cycle - not having previous TEAS scores to go off of. Not knowing what score was good enough to get in made me extra nervous. The upside of that was that is basically forced me to over-prepare.

@janel2586 I was basically in the same boat. I graduated high school in 2002 and was so lost on math when I started studying for the TEAS. Are you going to try again next year or look for another nursing program?

@AmberWirth I am going to try again next year. I looked at Schoolcraft but I’ll need another math class in order to apply.
