Lynn's CPNE DVD

Published

I'm wondering if anyone recently acquired Lynn Frederick's CPNE dvd. It just so happens that I have one from 2007. I'm trying to find out if it is the same or has been revised considering that the description on her website says 5 lab skills and the one I have only has 4 - IV Med, IV Med Push, SQ/IM & wound station.

I'm about to attend her workshop this week and expected to make purchases of her materials but if this dvd I have is the same, that's one less expense for me! :D

I'm sure its the same. I don't think she has updated it.

Well, I'm finally here in NC for Lynn's workshop. It figures that I would be sick with a cold. I had a fever yesterday and I feel it coming on now again. Hopefully a good night's rest would do me some good for the morning. :( Although, I do have to start reading that CPNE guide!!

Yes, it is the same DVD. I asked her!

Why Thank you Armynurse! :nuke:

Well, I came back on Thurs eve and I must say that it was a pleasure to meet so many nice people. The workshop did simplify things for me and gave me a better idea of what is to come. Lynn offered many valuable tips that will definitely make things flow smoother. Her motivational speeches also brought tears to my eyes!

I was a bit disappointed about the skills lab day. I expected to be taught the "right way" to do them but instead it was self teaching. Granted, if you know how to follow directions, I guess you should be able to do it the "right way" after all. It was an opportunity to practice on your own.

As far as her lab dvd, it has been updated but not by much. She added on some tips to her latest. She is also getting out a new dvd that covers areas of care.

So over all, it was a good experience. I'm glad I was there. I'm glad I met Lynn & Bev. They're are awesome strong women who are just as human as you and I. I will definitely keep in touch with them and I wish them the best. :loveya:

Thanks for sharing. You may also want to check into Robs DVD. I sure plan on it sometime after the holidays. Good Luck! Traci

whatever you do, do not and i repeat do not us the rope method in the video. ec no longer accepts that method and you will fail that lab for trying to use it. i would suggest the parachute method. i just passed the cpne and a girl there failed the wound station on friday using the rope method. civita the ca told her that it was not an acceptable method. luckly i was able to show her how to do the parachute method and she passed the following night. but if we had never met over small talk, she would have failed the cpne.

Did you use Rob's DVD? Does he use the correct method? Thanks! Traci

Rob goes over the areas of care. I really liked his video as a visual. He has a 15th ed updated video.
