LVN Students

Published

Hi everyone,

I just enrolled into the LVN program. My start date April/2015 for the pre-reqs and core starts in July/2015. Any advice? I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time. -TIA

I just did some research and found that Gurnick would be best with my schedule. I was going to apply at Madera Center but I wouldn't be able to work and right now I have no choice but to work and all the other LVN programs here in Fresno would required you to do CNA first. After completing the LVN program I planned on bridging to Fresno City LVN to RN program. We won't know where clinical will be at till we get closer into the program. I guess we'll all have assign sites? No problem with all questions. That's why were all here. =)

I was told clinical can be an hour away :( I am planning on bridging over to fresno city also.

An hour away from the school maybe but not where you live. They told me they will try to get it to where your location is. They do have students from Selma, Visalia, Madera, etc. I guess it just all depends.

Specializes in Psychiatric.

Congratulations pennykhash :) I'm starting the LVN program at Fresno Adult School in a few weeks and I am also planning to bridge to Fresno City College in a few years or maybe do the LVN-BSN program at the University of Phoenix in Salida. I think your prerequisite course will be going over basic biology and you will get more into A&P when you start your core program. Good Luck!

Penny-

nice to meet you on here. Hopefully we see each other at gurnick.
