  1. An hour away from the school maybe but not where you live. They told me they will try to get it to where your location is. They do have students from Selma, Visalia, Madera, etc. I guess it just all depends.
  2. I just did some research and found that Gurnick would be best with my schedule. I was going to apply at Madera Center but I wouldn't be able to work and right now I have no choice but to work and all the other LVN programs here in Fresno would required you to do CNA first. After completing the LVN program I planned on bridging to Fresno City LVN to RN program. We won't know where clinical will be at till we get closer into the program. I guess we'll all have assign sites? No problem with all questions. That's why were all here. =)
  3. Hi Slee11! I just went in today to take care of some stuff. My start date in April 6, 2015 for the pre-reqs and the actual core program starts in July. I am going to attend evening classes since I'll still be working full time Mon-Thursday 8-5pm so I can go to class after work. From what the advisor told me classes is 2-3 nights a week and clinical are usually done on Fridays. When do you plan on starting? Maybe we'll be in the same class. :)
  4. Hi Juicy_milan! I start the program in April. =)
  5. Yikes! You sound just like me.. I'm not the best test taker. =( Good Luck on your test!!!
  6. Good Morning Red! My son plays in a basketball league and this season he will have to sit out. There's a lot of traveling with the team so that was something we had to talk about. I feel bad but we all have to make a sacrifice. Once I'm done next year he can play all the basketball he wants.
  7. Thank you Dondie! I was getting a lil nervous about working and school but I think I can do it. My boys are 12 and 14. I feel bad to be gone all day at work then school right after.
  8. Thank you Red! Good Luck! =)
  9. That is great you're working as a Medical Assistant! .. I actually went through the Medical Assistant program in and finished in 2003. I worked for a few months only and quit. It wasn't paying enough at the time and I just had a baby. Now I really hoped that I should've stayed in the Medical Field. I've been in school since 2009 doing Pre-regs for the RN program. I was trying to get into the BSN at National University but that didn't happen. The TEAS test I needed an 80% to get in. So I am starting from the bottom up!. One step at a time. =) I'm not sure about my job. I love it here. But I will have to let them know soon that I will need to leave early for school.. I work 8-5p and school is 5-10pm. I was thinking about volunteering at the hospital but I'm not sure how it will work since I'm already working Full-time and school full-time. Maybe I can do on the weekends.
  10. Hi Tyler, I'm not sure what the PAX test is. I applied at Gurnick Academy here in Fresno, CA and we didn't take that test. I did however take an entrance exam but it was just basic things we needed to know like elementary stuff. I wish you luck!
  11. Hi leeymarina! I'm a secretary for an Architecture Firm. I work 32 hours a week and off Fridays.. So hopefully I'll get thru the program no problems. *fingers cross* I chose this particular school so that I am able to still work and go to school. I don't know how I would survive with 2 boys and not working. If I had the luxury to not work, that would be great!! But that's not even an option for me. Thank you for you response. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AS WELL!!!
  12. Has anyone worked full-time and attend the LVN program full-time? How did you do?
  13. Hi everyone, I just enrolled into the LVN program. My start date April/2015 for the pre-reqs and core starts in July/2015. Any advice? I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time. -TIA
  14. Thank you! I'm new to this.
