Hi everyone,

I just enrolled into the LVN program. My start date April/2015 for the pre-reqs and core starts in July/2015. Any advice? I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time. -TIA

HELLO, I will take my LVN PAX test this coming March 24th and i feel nervous about it. I took a same test last year but i sadly failed the test. I only got the lowest score( terrible).

and now, i am planning to take a test again. I do really need to study my vocabulary , reading comprehension and mathematics. Do you know any good free website or books for me to pass the test? I only have 1 month to review. please share.

Hello! I start Prism Career Institute on the 6th of April! It feels so close but so far away. I still need to get my physical and blood work done. I have been reading medical terminology and prefixes so i'm more prepared and ready!

I'm not sure what the PAX test is. I applied at Gurnick Academy here in Fresno, CA and we didn't take that test. I did however take an entrance exam but it was just basic things we needed to know like elementary stuff. I wish you luck!

I'm going in tomorrow to turn in my 75 dollars registration fee at Gurnick Academy in Fresno. So I can not give you any advise but just wish us luck! How are you liking it so far? Are you doing the morning or evening class? I am just a little worry because they can't really give me set day of when clinical and when class is. That just make me don't want to attend the school. Why can't they give us a set schedule?.. I am thinking of doing evening class :)

I just went in today to take care of some stuff. My start date in April 6, 2015 for the pre-reqs and the actual core program starts in July. I am going to attend evening classes since I'll still be working full time Mon-Thursday 8-5pm so I can go to class after work. From what the advisor told me classes is

2-3 nights a week and clinical are usually done on Fridays. When do you plan on starting? Maybe we'll be in the same class. :)

how exciting! I am planning on starting July also. I work so I am planning on doing the evening class. Do you have any idea where clinical will be at? How did you hear about the program? Sorry I am asking so much questions.

I just did some research and found that Gurnick would be best with my schedule. I was going to apply at Madera Center but I wouldn't be able to work and right now I have no choice but to work and all the other LVN programs here in Fresno would required you to do CNA first. After completing the LVN program I planned on bridging to Fresno City LVN to RN program. We won't know where clinical will be at till we get closer into the program. I guess we'll all have assign sites? No problem with all questions. That's why were all here. =)
