Okay so I am very interested in this. My mom goes to a nurse who gives her semaglutide. My mom has no prescription and the nurse simply provides her with the medication. It's all drawn up for her in tuberculin syringes and my mom just pays her and has me administer the med to her. This nurse has several clients like this with no prescription and just supplies them with the medication. I wanna know how she does this? Because this could be a great business opportunity. This nurse also has a good reputation and very trusted. Any explanations would be great. Like how she buys the meds in bulk, how she is able to do this in her scope of practice etc.

That said a certified nurse midwife is not a nurse (it's confusing but no one would ever call an advanced practice provider that). That changes the entire post. A CNM has prescriptive authority. This isn't a RN or LPN handing out meds like candy without a script. Even still it sounds like she watched too much Breaking Bad the way she's doing it.
Once again, I'm talking about two different things. I am an LVN so I was asking if there was even any way for me to do similar to what the CNM does. Not only that, we just figured out her title so thats why it wasn't in original post. Third off, what's so sketchy about me posting? Lmao. It was a question. I'm not administering meds, people said don't do it I said okay. It doesn't require you to try and make me feel dumb for not knowing that a CNM shouldn't be called a nurse: she calls herself a nurse. I'm a student so I'm learning terms still. If you want to try and make others feel stupid, I'm very surprised you chose the profession of nursing. Treat everyone like you would a patient maybe and try not to be unnecessarily condescending about it. Thanks. Once again remember, it's just a post. Compassion isn't hard ??♀️

Okay, well, you asked, and we all told you, "Hell no." I'm glad you decided not to pursue this.

It wasn't meant as a personal attack. Your post was confusing. You can see firsthand why someone calling themselves a nurse while prescribing medication would raise questions. And I'm not saying asking a question is sketchy; someone selling medication out of their home in pre-drawn syringes is sketchy. Once again remember, it's just a post. Not attacking others because you're being sensitive and misunderstanding every answer isn't hard ?♂️
Good luck.

"You're being sensitive". Your therapeutic communication skills are cute. And lmaoooo your name literally has the word "attack" in it for a reason. It's my post and you came on here to try and impress people with your very "profound" information. Everyone else's comments were very professional. You on the other hand aren't worried about anything other than sounding intelligent when really you just came off as an ***. Buh byeee
