Hi I'm about to star the lvn to RN 30 unit program in west coast university and I want to know if any body has taking it and how was it? Do you do the 10 months all together or you take breaks in between?
Any info will be helpful
thanks

Other schools I have looked at wants me to quit my job . Also for the 30 unit option , I’m wondering if we can enroll in the BSN program at a later date
please dont make a mistake and just go to a college instead...

El Camino College has no wait period as long as you have the general education, pre-reqs and TEAS test for the ADN Program.
I don't see how anyone would want to go for a 30 Unit Option with no degree. I have never seen a job advertisement saying they will accept it. As much as the healthcare industry is trying to phase out ADNs and accepting only BSN and higher, I would not even bother doing a 30 Unit only to get nothing from it.
I used to be into West Coast University because I have VA benefits and don't have to pay out of pocket but I would not even let the VA pay for it because they charge entirely too much. A 30 Unit being $60,000 is absolutely ridiculous. Just my opinion.
ADNs are much cheaper and you get a degree and can find jobs much easier. There are also BSN programs that you can get in with the same pre reqs and general ed and be ahead of the game and its only 2 years. Many have no wait period. I suggest get on the school websites getting the information and attending the school information session.
