Hello! Is there anyone applying to the LVN TO RN Program in Lonestar college for Summer 2017?
You should have received the acceptance email from NH and another email the following day regarding how to set up Castle Branch. There is 2 codes for Castle Branch. The first one for your Background Check and 2nd one identifies NH is the school where you've been admitted. This is where you upload everything. Some of the documents you'll have to download them from Castles Branch fill them out and sign them and upload back. There is two documents that need a signature from a witness. Anyone can sign the witness part i.e. family members, friends or coworkers as long as it's the same date and you don't have to notarize them. Blue Card is the very last one at the bottom of the page.
Hi Shabba, I also got accepted into the transition program at Tomball. I have a question though. I've been trying to sign up for Castle Branch but under the classification tab at the bottom of the page it only gives me option for ADN and LVN for 2016 and not 2017. Did you have any issues??
A bit late on the response but you can contact the Texas state nursing board's office in Austin and they can always resend you another copy.
In my experience I didnt receive my blue card the first time it was sent out so I had to request another one. Why it comes only on a small blue paper that's easily lost In the mail is beyond me. They sent me out another one and I uploaded it to Castle branch. I remember getting really close to the due dates for the castle branch uploads for school and your program will still request a list of the students who have their BON blue cards anyways. If you don't happen to get it by the due date you should contact your nursing department and they will probably give you the okay once they receive their "official list" from the BON.
I really hated the process of it all to be honest. Very headache ridden journey to get that tiny blue card (which I've since misplaced).
Hi, what was your schedule like during the lvn to RN transition? Is it 3 times a week throughout the program including the clinicals?
7.04 is good. My mom and a friend of mine got in with less than a 6.5.
My mom is in NH and she goes to lecture Monday and Tuesday and does clinicals on Thursday.
My other friend is in Tomball but i don't know her schedule but she works in the nursing home Friday-Sunday and occasional evenings, but that isn't recommended.

Where are y'all uploading your blue cards to? I don't see a specific spot for it.
