I was wondering which school most of you went to, how much it cost as a whole, and if it matters if your college is accredited...and by who?
I'm looking into Stanbridge college in Irvine but haven't heard much about it. They offer a one year LVN program. Does anyone else recommend any other LVN programs in the area? I'd like to attend an LVN to Rn bridge upon completion. I think some CSU offer it.

I highly recommend Citrus college in Glendora. It's in LA county. I did my LVN there, I am now doing my RN at Chaffey college, which I also highly recommend. They are both tough, but you learn a lot.

Hi,
I am looking at Stanbridge as well. I would like to hear more information about it tho. I'm going down on Friday to talk to them. Does anyone know anything about the school- good or bad?

I saw your post, you said Citrus college choose 45 people out of 120 to get in the LVN program.
what percentage i have to have in "Introduction of occupution health" course? overall 90% or above?
there is no set percentage, they just take the 45 highest grades out of the 120 people that are taking the class, because there are only 45 spots in the nursing program.

Hello,
I'm very interested whether you chose Stanbridge college and if not, what other LVN programs in California did you look into?
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Take care,

I just enrolled in Stanbridge and my classes start (full time) June 18th. That week is the introduction to nursing class, and then on the 25th the program starts full time.
I am excited about it and I just pray I will be okay going through with it all. I am having bile duct surgery before school begins and I am also having trouble with my teeth, but it should be cleared up next week with a root canal.
I plan to roll right into their RN program which should start either next fall 08 or January 09....which was one of the reasons I decided on Stanbridge, plus it is close to home and they seem to offer a little more.
Let me know what you decide to do, I am interested in hearing from others!
Sincerely,
Deborah
Hi Deborah,
Thanks for your feedback on this private college. I'm moving back to my Mom's home in Cerritos so that I can go full-time into a LVN program.
I decided not to attend that school. I did speak to a student in that school that is part of their upcoming first graduating LVN program.Unfortunately, I was not impressed that she had only rotated to 2 facilities on the 3rd out of 4 terms in the program. She did express that it sounds like they may have made some changes with the program now then when they first started. I personally think the more facilities you can do your clinical in, the more likely you can get more diverse, hands-on experiences.
I decided to look into 2 private colleges that require 2 tests and a final interview to get into their school. I would check out Everest College and Concorde. I got some positive feedback with the first college I mentioned.
I would advice you what my accupuncturist suggested to me which was to ask them if you can talk to a few students who will be graduating from the LVN program soon to get their perspective on the pros/cons before you make a final decision.
God bless ya and take care.
Best wishes,

I am starting at Stanbridge on the 18th of June, and the 25th is the official first day of class. I hope I like it, because that is a lot of money to not know if I will like it there or not. I am going to finish, but I am really nervous!!
If you hear of anything, please let me know.
Thanks!!
