Dealing with a difficult preceptor
My daughter who is on last semester left for BSN is dealing with a rude and annoying preceptor. She is documenting everything. I told her to stay calm, keep stress down, never fight or yell, ask questions, or maybe meet one-on-one (which might be good or bad), ask other nice nurses for advice/help if needed etc. We don't want her to fail last semester.

Dealing with a difficult preceptor as a RN Student
My daughter is a BSN student doing her last semester. She has a very rude, hostile, unreasonable, condescending, non-supportive, and aggressive, all the worst stuff a study can face. Not sure it is just my kid of she is doing same thing with other students. She complained to her professor but not help. She is continue to document everything because the preceptor can fail my kid. We told her to be patient and don't yell or fight, just be nice. Any recommendations?

CSUDH Vs. CSUF RN-BSN online program
For clinical components, is it hard to find and get into agencies? Was the learning experience good? We are also thinking about CSULB RN-BSN and I believe the school will find all clinical locations for you correct?

CSUDH RN-BSN online
How did it go since it has been a few years? My kid has 1 more year at LBCC ADN and thinking about either CSULB RN-BSN, or CSUDH online route? We are concerned about CSUDH reputation and career advancement VS CSULB repulation but traditional RN-BSN on campus and clinical.

CSUDH RN-BSN online
How easy is it to get into CSUDH RN-BSN. One of my kids will start 2nd RN program at LBCC and looking to apply to CSULB, LA, DH, FULLERTON, and SB. I think mostly it should be pretty easy. LBCC and CSULB has partnership and well. How is DH RN-BSN program in terms of quality and supportive professors?

why does MT. San Antonio College RN Nursing wait list?
@SquishyRN That is the class info we are looking for 5 unit versus 4 unit class at Mt. Sac for pre-nursing prereq, We are thinking for CSU transfer and CC's transfers. So we(my kid) will be at Mt. Sac should take 5 unit classes ANAT35, ANAT36, MICR1, CHEM 10 or CHEM 40 or CHEM 50 . Are 5 unit classes more difficult than 4 unit classes - what are differences at Mt. Sac? But ANAT 10A&10B are also accepted at most CSUs based on mt. sac and assist.org...It is confusing to students but maybe they don't matter which classes 4 or 5 units? Nursing Prerequisite Courses:* ANAT 10A + ANAT 10B or ANAT 35 + ANAT 36 BUSC 17 or MATH 110 or MATH 110S or PSYC 10 CHEM 10 or CHEM 40 or CHEM 50 Critical Thinking Course ENGL 1A MICR 1 or MICR 22 SPCH 1A** or SPCH 2 or SPCH 8 Additional Major Courses: BIOL 13 or PSYC 14 **SPCH 1A is preferred Also from assist.org

Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014
Based on their ADN website, you should be able to apply with courses in progress. I just called and emailed their SON to confirm. http://www.rcc.edu/departments/schoolofnursing/Documents/Enrollment/RN%2018233%207-21-14%20ADN%20InfoSheet.pdf ....3. Students with prerequisite courses in progress must turn in a grade verification form to the School ofNursing office as soon as the final grade is available.

Riverside Community College Nursing Program Spring 2016
Is it correct that you can have pre-req science courses in progress when applying for ADN at RCC? "....1. Admission will be denied to an applicant who earned a grade of C-†or less in a nursingprogram at another college.2. Foreign transcripts must have a Detailed Evaluation,†and be submitted by the applicationdeadline. Information can be obtained from the Counseling Office.3. Students with prerequisite courses in progress must turn in a grade verification form to the School ofNursing office as soon as the final grade is available.4. Students must have applied to the college prior to making application to the ADN (RN) program.5. Meeting minimum requirements of the program does not guarantee admission into the program."

Palomar College Nursing School Spring 2015
Congrats and good luck to all. On a different subject, my kid is starting her freshman at CSUSM but is not (allowed) to take any core science classes yet. We are thinking, to speed up study, to allow apply to Polomar and see if she can take Ana, Physiology, or Micro. How hard is it to get science classes there, how is the environment there(kind of small campus I guess), and any recommendation on which professors to take those classes from? Thanks

National University - Los Angeles Nov 2013 Cohort
For LA location, I would love to hear from alumni to see how good instruction/instructors are. How do their like the program: pro, and con? Their NCLEX passing rate is very good at 92%.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist or RN
My kid/We is thinking CLS as a backup option if she cannot get in this fall 15 after one semester of waiting. I think CLS option is very interesting and very rewarding financially and professionally. After getting a CLS degree, one can always go back for entry level master degree in nursing via CSUs, or PA school after 2000-3000 hours of healthcare experience (which is CLS). I need my kid to start making good $$ after graduation, not no low paying job. Hopefully after this long wait and lots of crazy applications submissions, she will get in some where in SOCAL. :)
