LVN pay at medical group?

Published

Hi everyone. I live in southern CA and am applying to several medical groups. I have been a nurse for 17 years. 13 of those years in a SNF setting, the other 4 as a Case Manager in a SNF.

How much is a good hourly rate to ask for at these job interviews? I dont want to ask for too much or get low balled.

Thanks in advance!

When you refer to a medical group, are you referring to a medical practice, doctors office or clinic setting? Will you be an office manager, supervisor, or office nurse?

Anyhow, if this is a medical practice, the pay tends to be notoriously low (even in CA) unless you work for an entity such as Kaiser. People accept low pay at medical practices in exchange for working daylight bankers hours and no weekends.

Hi, neither of the 3 you mentioned. I'm referring to an IPA/managed care medical group (i.e Monarch/ Regal). I'll be working out of an office overseeing inpatient hospital stays.

Some of the other Case Managers ive worked with said ask for $33/hr. Just wondering if this is the average rate to ask for...
