Hello fellow nurses,
I am a little frustrated with job searching. There are tons of nursing job out there but everywhere wants you to have at least one year of experience working as an lvn. How are you supposed to get the experience if no one is willing to hire new grads. Ugh so frustrated. As nurses we have all been the new grad, so why is it so hard for them to give us new grads a shot at a job. I live in Southern California. If anyone knows places that hire new grads PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It would be greatly appreciated.

I will update if I find any more info on jobs.
The experience catch 22 is hard one.

I m so fed up.
After i got my lvn licence. I print out all nursing homes close to my area. it were like 30 nursing homes.
It took me 4 days to apply all nursing homes. so far i have not recived any single call.
So today i decided to call ...I started to call everywhere and half of them DON were in metting .....
And half of them told me....WE doont have any opening right now......chk later
I am feeling too much discrimination.....because i noticed whereever i applied all DON were from philpines and they just want to hire there own country people first. THey dont care abt any other nationality.
Thats how i feel discrimination.
Thats the reality. if someone not like my comment. so pls forgive me.

Well, what is, is, but some might not like the conclusion you have drawn. However, this is a free country and you are allowed to draw whatever conclusions you choose. Good luck in your job search.
I really don't think that is the case. I have a fillopino last name and if that was the case I would have had a million callbacks and I would be super happy.
