Hi all,
I am new to this so forgive me if this does not post right. My question is, I have been an LVN/LPN for more than 12 years and will soon have my RN. Will a travel company consider me for employment given my years of experience as an LVN?
:confused:Thanks!

You can always try but most companies want 1-2 years experience as an RN. Honestly, it's not even the agencies making the requirements but the client facilities (hospitals). And with the way the industry has been, the clients can be very picky as so many nurses are looking for jobs, more nurses than jobs that are available. It's changed quite a bit since I traveled. But, for the price of a phone call, why not inquire?
Thanks, that is what I have read online.

I have 8 years of exp as an LPN. New Grad RN.... now for 5 months. I contacted travel agency too; they told me that I need min 12 months and most want at least 18 months. Good Luck!
Thanks for the information, now I know what I need to do. If you dont mind my asking, have you been compensated for any LVN years with your employer? My employer told me they would but I've spoken to other LVN's who are now RN's and their pay is worse now as a graduate RN then when they were LVN's?
