I have been an LVN/LPN for 24 years now. I have 14 months until I complete my degree( Sept 1,2010)!!:yeah:

UOP 'recommends' a base of knowledge before you begin the LPN to BSN RN program. They evaulate any college credits you have and set up a curriculum to attain your degree. It takes 3 years for most LPNs.

It is very demanding. You have class one nite/week for 4 hours so you cover 15 weeks in 5 weeks. Some nursing classes will even be 7 weeks of class.

You will do lots of research and homework. Lots of people work 30-40 hours plus class and clinicals w/ some classes.

If you are serious about attending, I recommend buying HESI exam study guides, Pren-hall study guides, Mosby, Kaplan, NCLEX RN. Critical thinking skills are crucial.

........so think about and good luck!!

Look below...I sent a longer reply! :nurse:

I looked into this program. They only offer it at the Modesto campus (in CA). You go in once a week for theory, and I think clinicals are on the weekend? Not too sure on that point. But you can do the clinicals where you are. You have to have 6 months of full time working experience as an LVN, which is what got me. I can't find a decent LVN job anywhere. I'm not sure on tuition pricing. They also have a 2 year waiting list.

I am doing this program too in Phx AZ and luv it I will grad in Dec 2010 and if I pass all the HESI tests I will be on the way to more open doors in nursing, can't wait!!!

I am in this program in Modesto (CA) and LOVE IT! It is not some easy online program. You MUST go to class AND you MUST be serious about your learning and study hard.

After every class you take a HESI exam. You get one try to pass per class. BUT of those schools who take the HESI test after each course ... they have awesome NCLEX-RN pass-rates!

I sat on a wait list for 1 and a half years, but it was well worth the wait. In just over a year I will have a BSN and be sitting for the NCLEX-RN.

For those who complain about how much work it is .... it is an RN program after all ... its gonna be hard no matter what school you go to!

I highly recommend this program and no I don't work for the school, haha! Feel free to email or instant message me any time.

Does anyone know what the hours are like for this program? And clinical sites and times/days?

I know it can vary but I just want to get an idea...
