Lung Center of the Philippines: Basic Skills Training

They are currently screening for Basic Skills Training in LCP. Has anyone tried this? Would you guys recommend this? This is a 3-month training: 1 month lecture and 2 months practicum. It costs 6,000 pesos.

Specializes in critical care.

what if we still don't have board certificate? are we allowed to join this training? I guess recent passer don't have that yet. thanks for any response.

requirements for BST:

1. resume with latest pic

2. TOR with RLE, diploma

3. board rating

4. PRC license

5. board certificate

6. 1 x 1 picture - 2 pcs

7. chest x-ray and PPD (c/o LCP)

8. BLS ID

9. PNA card

10. brown envelope

I forgot to include the IVT license. if you don't have one yet, you can apply for IVT training at LCP. :)

I don't think that you can make it for this May 2010 batch because aside from the Board Certificate, you will have to pass a copy of your IVT license too. Maybe you can make it on the August(not sure) batch, though. :)

I checked the website. IVT of Lung Center requires PRC license. Seems that recent passers can't join their training yet.

hello guys, thanks for that infos. is there training in LC general? i mean general nursing or they do more on respi since then they are lung center? hehe.. just curious about it. and when will be the next batch after may? and if i dont have IVT ill do it first then the training? on their insitution?

hi. are they really strict. i have all the requirements except for the board certificate. i can't find mine. is it still that important if i have my license and board rating?

I did not have a board certificate yet but they still accepted my application. if you have the cert of passing/board rating or the license itself, that will do. better yet, call them first just to make sure.

for the IVT, if you only have the ANSAP official receipt, that's fine.

Yes. You're right. The official receipt or certificate of attendance is fine with them, as long as you have proof.

As of now, they are still accepting applicants for the Basic Skills Training for the July Batch. They said they open 80 slots for every training batch.

am i required to pay the required training fee upon submition of requirements?

no, you will be asked to pay for the BST fee after you passed your medical.
