They are currently screening for Basic Skills Training in LCP. Has anyone tried this? Would you guys recommend this? This is a 3-month training: 1 month lecture and 2 months practicum. It costs 6,000 pesos.
You don't need hospital experience when applying for BST training in Lung Center. You just have to:
1. complete the requirements,
2. go to the nursing office,
3. submit requirements,
4. pass the medical exam,
5. pay for the training.
Yup. they gave us hand outs.
----how much am i going to pay for?---
----may i know what are the requirements?--
----can i be possibly get hired at this hospital after this training?---
thanks a lot my friends:yeah:
@joanbunyi - Requirements:1. Resume with latest picture
2. TOR including Diploma & RLE Records (xerox)
3. Board Rating (xerox)
4. PRC License (xerox, back to back)
5. PRC Certificate (xerox)
6. Picture 1x1 - 2 pcs.
7. Chest X-ray & PPD (c/o LCP. they will give you instructions regarding this)
8. Brown Envelope (long)
9. BLS Certificate (xerox) / ID (xerox, back to back)
Regarding your question, "Do you think they will accept me? I heard there were people who weren't accepted.." -- I wont be able to answer that. you have to find out by going there passing the COMPLETE requirements. if you dont have the complete requirements they will say come back next batch or next year. This July 6,2009 they already started accepting applications for the next batch so i suggest you go there na if you really want to join. And if you're still working at the call center it would be hard (if not impossible) to juggle it with this BST. Good luck, Godbless :)
upon asking to register would they require those cxr and ppd result?or you have to submit the rest before they have you screened with those
i really don't know what to say to the training because i was not given a certificate after I had my BST.
piece of advice: Don't get sick for the whole training! not only your ranking will be low, also you will not receive a certificate if you have absences because of a viral disease that requires you to be at home for a week or two.
it happened to me,,, think think think

It's almost the same. But as far as I know, BST follows a certain program like 1 month lecture, 2 months rotation while volunteerism is just plain rotation.
