lumbar back pain

Published

I'm not sure if anyone has come across anything like this...but I'm hoping...

About a month or 2 ago, I think I twisted wrong picking up my 2 yr old son. Since then I've had lumbar back pain occasionally. Now within the last 2 days, I get this squirmy feeling of pain in my back, as to where I can't sit still and have to get up and move. It comes and goes but its almost this "I can't sit any longer feeling". I have gotten this feeling in the past, but it was more of a rare, once in a blue moon thing.

I think I did something to my back picking up my son but my husband keeps telling me "well either you're pregnant or on acid".

Has anyone experienced that kind of feeling before?

I don't know what the hell your husband is talking about, but you either have a herniated disk, or a muscle strain. Since it is getting worse, you should probably see a doctor.

Specializes in Neuro ICU and Med Surg.

We can't give you medical advice. Since this is something still bothering you then call and make an appointment with your doctor.

I'm not asking for medical advice. I'm asking if anyone has ever had it and if so, what they found out about it.....

I work with enough doctors that if I wanted to have it looked at, I would.

I think your husband must be a lot of fun! :chuckle Truly, he has a free association kind of thinking! :yeah:

Anyway, please get looked at by a doc or 2 or 3. Something is wrong and you need proper care, especially since you've got a young one depending on you. Proper treatment now can help prevent a world of trouble later. Please? Go see the doc for us, your pals here online, too. Please. And let us know what you find out. :flwrhrts:

And yes, I have experienced this feeling of having to move. My back is severely screwed up and I need surgery, that's what I found out.
