I know theres another "Fall 2017" thread for LPCH, but it seemed like it was for the April cohort instead. So heres a new thread for those who applied to the fall Sept 2017 cohort at LPCH!

There was word going around that they wouldn't have a cohort this season due to the new hospital, but I guess they decided to have one anyways. Let's keep each other updated with anything we hear from them (:

Yes that is very discouraging to hear. MRKCS, are you sure it was for L&D and not "Maternity"? I know Maternity sent out interview emails at the end of last week, a friend of mine got an email for them. I have yet to here anything as well.

I am so sorry, I meant to say Maternity!!

And just like everyone else here... I'm still waiting lol and it's already a Wednesday! 😰

Is anyone ballsy enough to call the recruiter tomorrow and ask for a status update?

I was thinking about calling/emailing the HR Rep by the end of the week. Do you think that would be too much? Im totally down to do it today (maybe in the afternoon) and keep you guys posted.

Bad news: I do know someone who got called yesterday for an interview (she applied to L&D). I don't know if they said what unit she was interviewing for exactly. I didn't get a call yet and I find it surprising that all of us have't heard back. At least one of us has to! Don't loose hope yet.

I find it super odd that not a single one of us has heard anything either. The odds are that one of us on this thread are going to get an interview so I'm confused. The person you know got a call or an email?

I want to call the recruiter but I'm scared to know the answer.

I received the interest email on the 28th too but haven't gotten a call for an interview either. I'm beginning to think that they are interviewing about 10% of the people that received the interest email. Hopefully, they notify us one way or another. It's difficult to be left hanging.

I got a call on Tuesday for an interview with oncology. I think everyone will hear back by the end of the week so we just all have to be patient :) good luck!

I'm baffled as well that no one on here has really heard anything yet. Like L&Dmama said above, I'm probably going to call at the end of the week if I hear nothing. Also, I know someone who got maternity interview who never got the interest email, so I don't think anybody is out of the running quite yet whether you got the email or not!

I emailed the HR rep questioning the status of my application. She said that the teams haven't finalized their decisions about who they will bring in to the interviews yet. We should hear back tomorrow or Monday by the latest!

Also got a call from Peds Hem/Onc on Tues for an interview. I believe they are hiring at least 2 for onc, possibly 4.

I know L&Dmama pretty much gave the same info but I wanted to hear it again today haha I made the call to human resources just now! I was told by the recruiter that she would be sending out communication to all of the chosen candidates at this point sometime today. NOT all decisions have been made yet. Notifications will continue into early next week. Fingers crossed for all of us!
