Lucile Packard New Grad RN Nurse Residency 2015

Published

I've been reading through old threads about Lucile Packard's New Grad RN Nurse Residency program but couldn't find any info or threads about 2015. The application period just closed, who else applied? What unit are you interested in working? Any past cohorts of the LPCH new grad program willing to share their experiences? Anyone have any info about the program that they can share?

Nothing yet. Anyone brave enough to call?? Ha!

anyone else not able to log on to check your appl status on the website?? should i be worried??? I get an error that my UN is invalid :nailbiting:

I was just able to log on. However, my application status hasn't changed... Still says submitted :/

I can log in, but still just says submitted as well. I feel at ease knowing no one else has heard anything as well!

They said by may 8th.... I'm hoping soon.

I'm getting more and more nervous! I hope to hear soon!

Anyone hear anything??

I still haven't heard anything..

Hi all - wishing you good luck! I graduated from the LPCH Versant class 4 years ago and am working in the CVICU. It's a great program, I hope I get to see a couple of you on the unit! Sending good vibes your way I'll answer whatever questions I can.

Do you know what units are hiring and when they'll start making offers??

Phone calls for our group started later than listed and went on for 3 or 4 days. Versant is its own program separate from the hospital, so unfortunately I don't know their timeline.

Hiring is based on the the specific staffing needs of each unit, so it changes ever year. If it helps at all for us it was:

1 to 3N (acute care)

2 to 3W (cardiac acute care)

1 to NICU

4 to PICU

4 to CVICU

2 to Post Partum

4 to Heme/Onc

2 to PACU

These tend to be the units that consistently take Versants, although PICU is going through a change in management currently so I don't know how many they will take this year.

Hope this helps!

So a girl from the new grad forum on fb got an email asking for an interview today around noon!
