Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital New Grad RN Residency- Fall 2020

Published

Hi! Does anyone know if LPCH will still be opening up their new grad app for the Fall 2020 cohort or if it will be delayed due to the pandemic? I know the app should be opening up in April but their website still has the info from the past cohort period.

Hello!
For those who have already interviewed for Labor and Delivery, did anyone get contact information from the panelists that they are willing to share? Eternally grateful!

There was an introduction at the beginning of the interview when they introduced their names and positions. I only wrote down their names but not positions if you need it

Im not positive about this time around, but last round they were hiring they asked specifically not to send any emails after an interview!

Oh, very good to know. Thank you!

those of you that have already had interviews on zoom, can you tell us how it went. Were each of the panelist on their own zoom screen or did they all sit in a room together with one screen on them. Also, how did it work as far as the usual "introduce your partner". Im just curious how zoom will change the usual format.

All panelists sit in the same room with same zoom screen. Each candidate would have our own screen of course so we just talk abt ourselves.

For what I remember, questions are from 4 categories: Patient-family center care, Teamwork, EBP, Quality improvement. Each candidate takes turn to answer a question from each category. So each will have to answer a total of 4 questions. You get to ask the panelist 1 question at the end.

Thank you so much! This helps a lot

Did you have to interview the other candidate and introduce them?

I'm so nervous for the QI questions because I did not have any QI projects and don't really know how they can put that into a question! LOL but thank you for this info!
