<Information about Touro Nevada>

hi everyone!

i got accepted to touro nevada today and wanted to know if any students/anyone knew any specifics about the program? i.e. class/clinical scheduling, academic work load, curriculum, and is as ridiculously as complicated/difficult as the faculty made it seem during my interview...i have said before that they made it seem way too tough or either really good, i am still not sure which one to go with! i am excited though and interested in any information, which anybody can pass on! i was told about this specific camp thing that they are doing right before the july start, what is that all about? i still have not been told too much info about it from the college.

In the first email regarding being out on the waitlist, G mentioned that we would find out by the 31st. One more week! Hang in there!

I was thinking the same thing. I tried emailing her again today, but I guess the waiting game continues.

Re-read the email she originally sent regarding the waitlist and it said she would notify my BY the 31st IF there was a spot for me. still haven't heard anything. Does this mean I'm just waiting for a rejection letter in the mail now?? Starting to worry....

Ya, she said I was number 4. I asked if we would still hear definitive word by the 31st. She said the committee was meeting again on the 31st and she would be "in contact" shortly after. I don't know if that means I'm waiting for an email or a rejection letter in the mail....

Can you tell me how many of you in the class when you started and how many people have dropped? I was a bit skeptical when I saw that there were only 25 graduates in 2008-2009.

I am also from California. I am looking for a current student like you who could answer my questions before I make my decision to go to Touro. I hope you won't mind. Thanks

Does anyone knowif the Entry level Masters of Nursing program at Touro will be reinstated ? If not is there any other program like this in Nv ?

she called me and told me there wasn't a spot for me this quarter, but that maybe I would have better luck for spring.....

That is very strange that you are number 4 as well, but I kind of had a feeling she was just throwing out numbers to get people to stop bothering her. Let me know though if things work out for you! Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

Gosh I am sorry to those who have to wait until March. They must have recieved a lot of applications for their program . I am shocked because from what I heard everyone usually gets in due to lack of applicants. I am applying in March and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get in. But as of right now i am starting to worry that would if I don't . Did they happen to say why you had to wait? Was it due to not enough spots, gpa (cumulative or science)? Just want to try and get an idea because I have a 3.50 science gpa and like a 2.95 cumulative gpa and I hope that doesn't hold me back. Any ways lets stay in touch afterall, maybe we will all be seeing each other in the spring! Also did they say that you will have prefrence now for the spring since they allready have your application?
