I didn’t see a thread for the LSU CRNA 2022 application cycle, so I thought I would go ahead and start one! ?

I received an interview!
can anyone share some information about the clinicals? I have tried to get more information from their website, but having no luck. From previous years forums I’ve read you rotate every two months. How do they go about choosing who gets where and housing?
also concerned about the high attrition rate. It looks like second semester is 20 credit hours. Is this a weed out semester?

Congrats to all of you guys who got invited to interview. I messed up this year and won’t probably get an interview. Got descent stats (3.54 overall GPA, 4.0 science GPA, 307 GRE score) but I accidentally addressed my personal statement to the admission committee of Texas Wesleyan instead of LSU. Will pay more attention next year. Got luck on y’all interviews!

I got an interview Wednesday. When should I sign up? I don't know if I should get it over with or take more time to prep. I got on the waiting list for admission last year and the interview wasn't terrible but my nerves get to me during interviews so I don't know what to do.

Usually each rotation site is 2 months. Almost every site requires you to find and pay for your own housing. You are randomly assigned clinical sites for the first 6 months then you will be randomly assigned to 1st-4th pick groups. You will stay in each group for 4 months but nothing is guaranteed as far as your pick preferences. You can easily be in the 1st pick group and still not get anything you want.
The second semester is very busy but the semester after that is traditionally referred to as the "weed out" semester due to intensity of courses and exams almost every week for 5 months straight.
Hope this helps your decision!

Only you can know when you'll be ready. I'll bet you'll smash the interview. How have you prepped this year, having gone through the interview process last year?

Is anyone else concerned about this school having a "weed out semester"? And this program having a 10-20% attrition rate most years?

Just did my interview! Fingers crossed I think it went well! They said I should know within two to three weeks ??♀️
Was there a lot clinical questions

It was pretty laid back! They did ask some clinical stuff mainly about the types of patients I took care of and different drips! But really it went where I took it and they were all incredibly nice.
Sounds great.. well I hope you get in. Good luck to those who have not interviewed yet.
