Hey everyone!! I'm applying to LSU, FranU and NSULA. Possibly Samuel Merritt later this year.

Stats:

1st bachelors: 2.57

2nd BSN: 4.0, repeat sciences 4.0 (microbio, genchem 1 & 2, biochem, ochem, pathophysiology, anatomy, physio, stats) 4.0

GRE 218

CCRN, CMC, TCRN

2 years STICU

Charge, RRT, 8 hours shadowing

Hoping for an invitation for an interview!!  My first bachelors GPA is what was keeping me from applying the first time around. I worked aorund the clock to do a bunch of prereqs.

Hey! Longshot you’ll see this, but I’m applying in 2023. Well I was curious how low your overall GPA was? I saw you got in! Congrats! My overall is just under a 3.0 (including first attempted courses, anything I failed that doesn’t count towards nursing BSN), but I am like you, repeated courses and changed my major! Nursing GPA is >3.6 and science GPA would be 3.6 if original attempts weren’t counted. So I’m nervous!

Hello!

So great news, I applied to 3 Lousiana schools and got into all 3.  My calculated science was like a 3.01 LOL.  I was asked a lot of detailed questions during my interviews and the feedback that I got was that my application didn't look great. However they said I was a strong interviewer and that's what clinched my spot.  I did mock interviews with clinical questions, and made sure my story and emotional IQ questions were solid.  I prepped for about 4 months writing and rehearsing them.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

@nurseboop18 Hi! I know this is an old post, but do you mind if I PM about which school you chose? I got into FranU and NSU and am looking for advice on which to choose. Thank you!
