Hey y’all I just wanted to start a thread for those planning on applying to the CARE program for 2021. I know it’s far out, but we can start planning ahead. Looking forward to talking to every one ?
I just got my interview email today and started googling to try to prepare and found this group! I'm very nervous for the interview. I notoriously either bomb or ace them and it's been a while since I've had a proper interview. I've heard from other students at LSU one of the questions requires performing a task which I've been brainstorming for, any suggestions? I'm not sure what exactly they are looking for in that question. Also any other questions would be extremely helpful even if they are standard.
I've heard from other students the proctored essay has been something difficult you've had to overcome.

hey this is what I was told from a student in the program now “It’s literally 6 questions and they’re so easy and you have time to think about your answers. One of them was like teach me something as if I didn’t know how to do it. And I legit recorded myself teaching them how to make your dog sit and used my dog. Another question was like who inspires you. Just basic questions to get a feel of the type of person you are”
If the same as previous years, you'll get 2-3 chances to record each answer. Definitely practice typical interview question in advance just to get some ideas in your head.
The big thing is speaking clearly with poise and confidence. Nursing is an interaction-based career. The interview is about weeding out people who struggle with expressing themselves. Just be yourself, whether that's sweet or funny, soft or boisterous.
