LSU Care Fall 2019

Hello guys! I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone is applying for the LSU Care Fall 2019 program? Applications are due next month and I am super nervous about submitting, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same or knew anyone who is currently in the program. :/

For question 6, I gave a lesson on how to do something. I did not physical demonstrate anything as I didn't think I could fit it into the time restraint. My question 5 was also only one minute. I literally just finished and it is 11:53 PM on Saturday night. This was an interesting way to interview someone. I hope I hear back from them for the next phase. Has anyone heard what the next phase (the written) is like?

I just finished with my interview. For question 6, I did physical demonstration and explained the steps. My question 5 was only one minute as well, but I didn't think to much of it since it was a pretty simple and straight forward answer.

For question 6 I explained on how to do something, I didn't physically demonstrate how to do it. Question 5 was very quick but I don't think they needed to really know a lot of information. All in all it was easy, but my videos did have sound quality issues and a little lagging.

I ended up going through the actions while explaining for question 6! I think they are mostly just looking for how well you can break an action into simple instructions, so I think we will be okay either way!

I went to an info session a few months ago, and I think I remember them saying that last year they had around 200 applicants, 30 of which didn't have the correct prerequisites, etc., and from the remaining applicants, 70 or so got in?

Yeah I hope not, I kept retaking it, but still the sound was trash ? I have a Macpro and never had issues with webcame before.

We will hear back by the end of the week. You will receive an invite for the written statement. The dates will be March 19 or March 20th.

Wow how are you find this information out? Are you calling them?

Also, does anyone know anything about the written? What the topic is? Anything?

No I haven't been calling lol The essay should be straight forward, 30 minute prompt taken in the computer lab I believe. Last year students said it was really easy, but they didn't disclose the topic.
