Hi everybody,
Im new to this site and could really use some advice. Im starting LSU traditional BSN program. Was wondering if anyone has any advice about what to expect and what I should do to prepare. Also if anyone is actually a student at LSU that would help or if they are starting in the Fall as well.
I was hoping to give a little advice since im reading lots of frustrated comments posted. This is my 3rd semester at LSU, currently a sophII (again). the number one thing that many of you will find when those acceptance letters come and you get settled in at LSU is that patience is VERY important. Its a fact of life at LSU that schedules change, deadlines get moved, and students are typically the last to know about them. This will not be your only frustration with the school, being a student here just means you have to roll with the punches. LSU really is a great school, try not to fret and make sure you study up on your patience.

Phys is the biggie. Pharmacology and pathophysiology knocked quite a few out too. After that, there were no big losses until critical care. There are always a few who don't make it through a class, but that's every nursing school. My friend at Charity says the same thing - it's not just LSU.
I had to let my other grades suffer for phys (I got straight B's when I know I could've pulled off A's in my other classes had I spent more time on them) - remember, it's all about passing not perfection. If you strive for perfection, you're going to drive yourself insane. You can have all A's and get that one D and you're automatically a semester behind. Nothing to be nervous about... You have to go with the flow and work as hard as you can. If you're uptight about it, it'll eat you alive. It almost did to me!
