LSU BSN Fall 2015

Published

Hi all, I'm starting this as an ongoing thread from the LSU BSN Spring 2015 thread - For those of us who are applying for the first time, or those who are re-applying. That thread was extremely useful in chatting with other applicants throughout the process whether about prerequs, the actual application, or the interview process. Feel free to post questions, comments, and concerns here.

Thanks!

Haha! That's awesome. Are you guys planning on commuting or living on campus?

I got in as well!! :) I will be commuting.

On campus!!!! Hoping the apartments are decent!

Hi all! Congratulations everyone who was accepted! I, too, was accepted! Can't wait to meet all of you!

Congrats to everyone who got in! I got my acceptance letter tonight, I am thrilled! This was my second time applying so I was definitely anxious. I'll be commuting ... can't wait to meet yall at orientation

to those who got accepted have yall heard anything else from school? This forum is so quite usually in the old ones people would write their life away haha

I completely agree with the quietness part lol! ... Nothing really other than 2 mandatory orientations at the beginning of August, and we have to turn in acceptance fees by the 25th of this month!

i agree ... the forum that i started this thread from was a constant back and forth of people and this one is quiet. it could have something to do with the fact that we find out so far in advance when starting in the fall, but starting in the spring only gives you a couple of months notice, so there's a lot more freaking out and it is faster-paced. anyway, i haven't heard anything additional either aside from orientation.

Do you guys know if we have to submit an application to the nursing state board separately or will lsu provide us with the necessary documents?

I know this may seem like a really really dumb question, but does anyone know if it is absolutely necessary to have a car? I'm from Baton Rouge and will be living in either the dorm or apartment on the campus, and I would RATHER NOT bring a car with me, but will if I 100% need to.

Oh my gosh, you guys. I was freaking about not getting my letter the last few days. Turns out my boyfriend brought the mail to his car and forgot about it! I'm in!

I live in New Orleans. You will definitely need a car for clinicals, unless you can set up some kind of carpooling thing? But I don't believe clinicals start until the second semester, so you might be able to hold off a bit.
