Hey everyone! I was a spring 2014 applicant, I received an alternate letter so I am crossing my fingers I have better luck this semester! I know everyone probably feels like a huge weight is lifted off their shoulders as today was the application deadline. But now the nervousness is kicking in! I created this thread because I figured we all need the moral support - or at least I know I do lol! I hope I can be of help to anyone who may have questions as far as interviews and the time frame of this process! Good Luck to all of you!! :)
What hat was your GPA and hessi score?
GPA=3.63 Hesi= 88
I still obsessively stalk other threads even though I got my acceptance letter Saturday. On one thread, it said something about the second wave of letters including the people who interviewed during the second round. Could that be it? I interviewed the first option given, February 16th I believe. I also remember asking this question during my interview: "what's the odds of me getting in given the number of people who applied". I remember her saying that approximately 163 applicants were given interviews. So being that I see only about 5% of us have received letters, I'm more than sure a bunch of you guys should be expecting something soon!
I can't wait to meet some of you!!!! LSU in Baton Rouge is perfect, but I can't wait to live outside of Baton Rouge for once! LOVE PURPLE, LIVE GOLD.
Good luck, fellow Tigers!

Well i was in the second round of interviews I picked march to do mine so maybe that's what it is. Idk I'm hoping for the best.
@Tiger2016 Then they must have been picky when choosing who got interviews. I know that they actually only except around that number anyway. My interviewer (the faculty member) told me up to 500 actually applied. I applied for spring 2014, but didn't even get an interview. I had an 83 HESI & 3.2 GPA, but I had 2 C's, which I know is a pet peeve of theirs (more than 1 C). This is my second time applying, and I got an interview. I kept my 83 HESI score and bumped my GPA up to a 3.3-something. My interview went well, so just waiting on the letter. I'd be really surprised if they took in less than at least 120-130 of the ones they interviewed, because that's usually the amount of students they take in (a little more at times depending on open seats).
This is my second time applying as well! Last semester, my gpa was POINT ONE AWAY . so I retook a class, brought my GPA up and I also took the Hesi again and brought that score up. So I'm really hoping I get in. I'm pretty confident as I know my entrance paper scored great (I met with Mr. Landry because I didn't get in my first try and he showed me). And plus the two sweet seniors I interviewed with said I did good.
I even caught a speeding ticket on the west bank expy the morning of my interview! Lol there goes $150...
