LSU BSN Fall 2014 Semester

Published

Hey everyone! I was a spring 2014 applicant, I received an alternate letter so I am crossing my fingers I have better luck this semester! I know everyone probably feels like a huge weight is lifted off their shoulders as today was the application deadline. But now the nervousness is kicking in! I created this thread because I figured we all need the moral support - or at least I know I do lol! I hope I can be of help to anyone who may have questions as far as interviews and the time frame of this process! Good Luck to all of you!! ;):)

I'm freaking out! I live 5 minutes away from lsuhsc and I still have not received anything!

people in baton rouge have gotten their letters and i know quite a few of us who haven't gotten anything yet. i know how you feel. I'm hoping for something today. what is your GPA and Hessi score?

That's so weird! I have a 3.3 GPA and I got an 86 on the Hesi :/ I went to one of the information sessions though and the guy said that grades were not the only thing they looked at. He said they have turned away students who had 4.0 gpas because they did not think they would be good nurses after they interviewed them. So hopefully my personal statement was good enough and my interview went well! What is your GPA and Hesi?

My overall GPA. For all the pre reqs I took is a 3.03 and my GPA for the first 16 hours of pre reqs is a 3.07 and I made a 79 on the hessi but I know someone who got in with a 74 on the hessi and a 3.2 GPA so idk. I'm scared I'll get waitlisted.

Bur my interview and paper both were good I found.

Ahh I'm so nervous, I just want to know! I'm just sitting around my house, waiting for the mailman to come, and reading threads from the previous semester, spring 2014, about people who made it in/didn't make it in lol I really have to stop obsessing. I've realized that the acceptance is super random though. There is this girl who did not make it in the first time with a 4.0 GPA/86 Hesi and then this other girl who made it in with a 3.3 GPA/81 Hesi. Eek! Guess we will just have to wait and see, good luck!!!

Well the mail passed here and I didn't get a letter. I called and this is what I was told Well I just called and she said that the first wave of letters went out Friday so I should have gotten something already and I asked what the first letters included and she said she couldn't tell me if they were denial or acceptance and since people are getting accepted Im sure that's what they are. And the second wave of letters are denial letters that's my guess because she wouldn't tell me anything. And I know people who live in Baton Rouge who have gotten theirs already and got accepted. Idk. Ugh

I just got my acceptance letter. I live in New Orleans. New Orleans East to be exact. I'm excited! GOOD luck to you all!
