I thought I would start a thread for those of you applying or have already applied for Fall 2012 for the BSN program at LSU. We can freak out together and perhaps share tidbits of informative information along the way!! Best of Luck Ya"ll
I emailed finaid a month or so ago and they told me that nothing was being processed for fall of 12 just yet and once your loan/awards came through then they would send an email. I have no idea how to navigate the self serve. When I searched "to do list" nothing comes up. Nothing comes up when I select any link. I'm not quite sure whats going on there. Hopefully they explain this at advising. How did you guys know that something was needed in the office? I've already sent my health forms to them so I don't know what else is missing at this point. Did someone email you?
Sorry if this seemed rambled. Too many questions/confusion I guess!
It lasted until about 3:30...it was very long and pretty boring, they just discussed general stuff, parking, housing, and were supposed to talk about financial aid but the person didn't show up. There was an hour long lunch break (which I used to go to the bookstore and subway) and the last things we did were pre-advising and id pictures.
I think that I can honestly say that no one had more anticipation than I did..lol. I tell you, my story as a whole is a testimony. I can tell it over and over again. I was actually denied admission on last year, and I never gave up, incresed my classes, and received my acceptance letter dated for March 29. I am so exited and at a lost for words!! God is AMAZING!! I encourage you all to continue to fight until you have reached your goal!!God bless!!
CONGRATS! I'm worried about being denied for Spring 2013. I have 3.25 pre-reqs and about a 3.1 overall GPA. I'm worried about doing bad on the HESI. Do you think I still stand a chance of getting in?

academicselfservice.lsuhsc.edu is the actual address for student self service (although it's dumb to give you the directions and then not tell you where to go from there...) but they haven't processed anything for the fall. If you go to the link that says "Student Center" your information might be on there. Good luck!
And as for the BRS Physiology book... the more MCQs you can do, the better, because that's how the professor asks questions on the exam - you have to be able to apply the knowledge and not just recite the information. Doing lots of MCQs will help you think critically about the material. If you don't like the Costanza book or are strapped for cash, just google "physiology MCQs" and there are a few websites that have some for free (usually for medical school but there are often a few you can use).
