Hello everyone this is a roll call to everyone who will be starting a Lpn program this year. Please state when you will be starting your program, the name of the school and state, and one thing you are excited or nervous about! :)
I wish I was starting my LPN in September, However I have to wait until January!! I will be taking the 2 year program here in Alberta.
I know the feeling... I've been in your shoes for 3 months now. I finished my pre-reqs. In June one day after summer classes started for the school I plan to attend. So I had to wait for fall classes. There are things you can do to make your wait just a little better like prepare that's what I did. I started cleaning my house from top to bottom.. practicing/getting a head start on some medical terminology (you can never go wrong with this! Trust me...) I've also started buying my not so expensive supplies like backpack notebooks indexcards highlighters pens etc.. Good Luck!! :)
Aloha everyone! My name is Hilary from Kaua'i! I will be starting the LPN program at our community college on August 25th. I am very excited. I always dreamed of being a nurse and I am so passionate to finish the program. From what I hear...the program can be very stressful and hard. I also have a 4 month old daughter that I love SO much. My councilor advised me to not work because I'm a mother so I resigned from my job at a local longterm facility. My daughter will be my motivator to work twice as hard because this is not only for my future but hers as well. To whoever is reading.. Goodluck and never give up!

Blessings to you! I didn't quite my job but went PRN Just in case I can't find employment when I finish my LPN Program.
Hi everyone!
I'm Dondie. I'm from Oklahoma and will be going to Central Tech. The schedule is flexible and I've chosen the 18 month option which is roughly 3 days per week. I work weekend double as a med aide at a local nursing home.
Im so excited and scared to death to be a nurse, which hopefully will make me a good one in the long run.
Good luck!!!
