I have a sneaking suspicion that this is false, but I had a person at work tell me that an LPN can work in Oregon for 2 years and sit for the NCLEX-RN by default, with no further education. Any validity to this statement? You OR nurses ought to know (no pun intended).

California is the only state that allows LVNs, CNAs, paramedics, and other allied health professionals to challenge the LVN boards and become an LVN strictly through testing.
However, this license is limited because it cannot be endorsed into any other state.
