I used Chancellors study guides three times for exams. Used it for the A&P exam and Microbiology during the ASN and the community focused exam for the BSN. I passed all the exams with a B. I liked the guides and the audio CD's but they were REALLY expensive. I had an old coworker that used their guides for every exam and went to the clinical in Indiana. He had received all B's on the exams but took the CPNE three times before passing. I would recommend the guides if you have the money or buy them off eBay as used. If you don't have a ton of money to waste buy the guides only for the exams that are the most difficult. They can be purchased one at a time, thats what I did. Also buy a copy of study group 101 notes, they helped me out the most for every one of the exams. Let me know If I can help in any way. Good luck with the program!
Before I knew any better, I started this route until I found an error in one of the guides. I contacted them and their explanation was that this particular guide was in the process of being revised.....YET THEY SENT IT TO ME ANYWAY! Long story short, I made a big stink about it before they finally issued me a refund. After that, I got my study materials off eBay. Be advised, though, no matter what you choose to prepare with, if you fail an exam and didn't use the recommended study materials from EC, you cannot challenge your grade. Good luck to you!!!I am just starting the LPN to RN using Chancellors ( I knows its really excelsior ) but I am just wondering if any other LPNs are doing this right now, or if any RNs have done this. Any reviews on Chancellors ( please no reviews on Rue or college network ). Thanks everyone!

CrissyQ what do you recommend about the clinical? I'm referring to you saying that someone didn't pass after using the chancellor clinical. I had a friend who failed once using the chancellor but I don't think it was chancellor on the reasoning.
Chancellor's is a publishing company, just like the others....and overpriced, just like the others...I am just starting the LPN to RN using Chancellors ( I knows its really excelsior ) but I am just wondering if any other LPNs are doing this right now, or if any RNs have done this.
