Please help me transition LPN's to RN's What was the most difficult aspect of this transition? Any other comments about how instructors might facilitate this upgrade smoothly for both students and staff.
Thank you from the instructors and the students!

I was an LPN and went back and obtained my RN degree. I really could have used some classes on mgmt and supervisory skills.
There was no mention of these in my RN program. I asked the program director about it. She replied "BSN grads will be the supervisors, not you." (She's famous for her rudeness and being out of touch).
I was a charge nurse as an LPN. Neither my LPN nor my RN educations prepared me to be a charge nurse/supervisor.
I think mgmt skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, and basic charge nurse skills should be included in the curriculum of every RN program.

I was an LPN for two years while finishing an ADN bridge course - could have used some management info also.
